The Chart

  • A quick update. It seems no one pays attention to ESPN leagues or most of them are very small leagues. My picks will now only be under 30% rostered in Yahoo!

Analysis and Backup Options

Monday 6/3

Streamer of the Day

The knuckleballer Matt Waldron has been on quite the run recently as he holds an elite K-BB% in his last five starts. He gets the Angels in this start who have the worst wRC+ in the last seven days. This is a no-brainer.

Strikeout Upside

Matt Waldron.

Ratio Play (High Floor)

Matt Waldron and Jose Quintana.

Win/QS Potential

Matt Waldron, Jose Quintana, and Andrew Abbott.

If I Had to Rank The Top Five

  1. Matt Waldron at LAA

  2. Jose Quintana at WSH

  3. Tyler Anderson vs SDP

  4. Andrew Abbott at COL

  5. Spencer Howard at ARI

Tuesday 6/4

Streamer of the Day

Bit of a tough day when it comes to picking streamers. I decided to go with Joey Estes against the Mariners. He still possesses a Stuff+ and Command+ rating this season. Plus the Mariners continue to have one of the highest SwStr% rates as an offense.

Strikeout Upside

Joey Estes, David Peterson, and Spencer Arrighetti.

Ratio Play (High Floor)

Joey Estes and Dane Dunning.

Win/QS Potential

Spencer Arrighetti.

If I Had to Rank The Top Five

  1. Joey Estes vs SEA

  2. David Peterson at WSH

  3. Spencer Arrighetti vs STL

  4. Dane Dunning vs DET

  5. Frankie Montas at COL

Wednesday 6/5

Streamer of the Day

Spencer Schwellenbach pitched decently in his debut. He has a breaking ball that is absurd and I truly think he has a future in this league. He takes on the Red Sox which will certainly be a test to his abilities but I think his stuff is good enough where he can get by.

Strikeout Upside

Spencer Schwellenbach and Graham Ashcraft.

Ratio Play (High Floor)

Spencer Schwellenbach.

Win/QS Potential

Spencer Schwellenbach.

If I Had to Rank The Top Five

  1. Spencer Schwellenbach at BOS

  2. Jose Soriano vs SDP

  3. Graham Ashcraft at COL

  4. Joe Ross at PHI

  5. Chris Flexen at CHC

Thursday 6/6

Streamer of the Day

Not a lot of options for Thursday so we are going to roll with JP Sears who takes on the Mariners at home. Sears has an above-average Stuff+ ranking but has been erratic this season making him a very difficult player to roster. Let’s hope he shows up in this one.

Strikeout Upside

JP Sears.

Ratio Play (High Floor)

None.

Win/QS Potential

None.

If I Had to Rank The Top Five

  1. JP Sears vs SEA

  2. Cal Quantrill at STL

  3. Mitchell Parker vs ATL

  4. Bailey Falter vs LAD

  5. Slade Cecconi at SDP

Friday 6/7

Streamer of the Day

Cooper Criswell continues to pitch well even though his underlying metrics are calling for regression. His Stuff+ ranking of 107 is impressive though and he does take on the White Sox here. An offense that has a 75 wRC+ against RHP for the entire season.

Strikeout Upside

Cooper Criswell, Alec Marsh, and Jake Irvin.

Ratio Play (High Floor)

Cooper Criswell and Jake Irvin.

Win/QS Potential

Cooper Criswell and Ben Lively.

If I Had to Rank The Top Five

  1. Cooper Criswell at CHW

  2. Jake Irvin vs ATL

  3. Alec Marsh vs SEA

  4. Ben Lively at MIA

  5. Cody Poteet vs LAD

Saturday 6/8

Streamer of the Day

Matt Waldron is our pick once again as he takes on Arizona in this one. He is by far and away the best streaming option for two starts this week.

Strikeout Upside

Matt Waldron and Kyle Gibson.

Ratio Play (High Floor)

Matt Waldron, Simeon Woods Richardson, and Kyle Gibson.

Win/QS Potential

Matt Waldron and Kyle Gibson.

If I Had to Rank The Top Five

  1. Matt Waldron vs ARI

  2. Kyle Gibson vs COL

  3. Michael Lorenzen vs SFG

  4. Simeon Woods Richardson at PIT

  5. Ryan Feltner at STL

Sunday 6/9

Streamer of the Day

Last but not least we will be taking Bryse Wilson in Detroit. Wilson is more of a command pitcher so I wouldn’t expect a lot of strikeouts in this one. I do like the ballpark and the Tigers disappear offensively a lot.

Strikeout Upside

Frankie Montas.

Ratio Play (High Floor)

Bryse Wilson.

Win/QS Potential

Bryse Wilson.

If I Had to Rank The Top Five

  1. Bryse Wilson at DET

  2. Frankie Montas vs CHC

  3. Joey Estes vs TOR

  4. Andre Pallante vs COL

  5. Trevor Rogers vs CLE
