2025 Dynasty Fantasy Baseball Trade Calculator & 3-Year Projections

Discover a three-year dynasty projection model with a trade calculator for dynasty fantasy baseball with over 2000 players included.

The Dynasty Dugout Trade Calculator is getting even better. I have fully updated over 2000 projections for 2025, 2026, and 2027, which are ready to go in the trade calculator. This year, I have adjusted it a bit. Last year, I included six different league sizes. Frankly, it was too much to keep up with six projection sets, 3-years each.

This year, we are introducing a points league tab in addition to roto values. Also new this year, is baked in aging curves! Here is a look at what the calculator looks like now!

The projection model sees it as being close over the next three years. Remember this is a projection-based computer model with no personal input.

  • Are you looking to see how much draft picks are worth in a trade?

  • How do your players project to perform over the next three years?

  • Playing for 2027 and want to look at specific values then?

  • Making a 3-1 trade and need to add replacement level value?

  • What players should you add to make the trade fair?

The Dynasty Dugout trade calculator will help you make decisions based on my three-year dynasty projection system.

This system has been a long time coming. I had the vision to build a 3-year projection system for dynasty baseball leagues to help managers understand how to value players over several years.

With dynasty trade calculators being popular in the fantasy football community, I knew we needed something more in the baseball space. This process started in 2021 with just a google sheet. Then the app was slowly built out!

To build the projection system, I begin with an aggregate projection system for the upcoming season.

From there, I modified them in an SGP calculator, changing playing time and innings pitched projections for future seasons, especially with prospects. I then manually add in any prospect who is not in the projection system and manually run their projections with aging curves and other factors. For the points league, I use the scoring system you can find listed below.

This year, I created a formula for aging curves which helps project future value in 2026 and 2027.

The trade calculator is designed to help you make decisions in trades. I have modified prospect projections to help give a more accurate projection on them. I have also added a tab for “prospect trade value.” Basically, this looks at players just drafted or signed internationally that may not provide any on-field production by 2025. Does that mean they don’t have dynasty value? No. Therefore this column helps add the perceived value these prospects carry in trades in dynasty.

A couple of things to note:

  • The Roto Value is based on three-year projection system with aging curves incorporated. It is based on a standard 15-team Roto league that uses a mix of OBP and AVG, and other traditional hitting stats. On the pitching side, a focus on IP and Quality Starts are used over wins while also factoring in saves and holds. Tradition pitching stats such as ERA, Ks, and WHIP are included.

  • The Points scoring value looks at total points scored over a three-year window using aging curves and projections. It uses a balanced scoring system. For hitters: TB: 1.25, BB: 1, K: -.5, SB: 3, R: 1, RBI .5, IBB: 1, HBP: 1, GDIP: -.5, CS: -1.5. For Pitchers: Quality Appearance: 5, BB: -.5, K: 1.25, SV: 7, IP: 2, HLD: 4, H: -.5, ER: -1.25, BS: -3. In future updates, we plan to have a custom scoring setting where you can input your league scoring settings.

  • Catchers are naturally going to get a boost in value because with SGP, the high-end catchers are just so much better than other options.

  • Closers will have higher value for 2025 but may decline for 2026 and 2027. Why? Relief pitchers are highly volatile and closer situations change quickly.

  • Prospects have added value if they won’t contribute all three years.

  • THIS IS NOT AN END-ALL-BE-ALL! It is just another tool to help you make decisions.

  • These values are computerized projections. I do not input my personal bias into them.

  • If you are making an uneven trade like 3 players for one, use the replacement level value! It will help you establish a better idea of the actual trade value
